During Paul's ministry, the memory of Jesus walking the streets of Israel was very fresh. Many of the inhabitants remembered the miracles that they witnessed with their own eyes. However, how are we to trust someone whom we have never met? Someone who left this life almost 2,000 years ago. God has left it all to just plain old fashioned faith. According to the Bible, God has revealed himself to all in some way. Everyone knows that God is real and that He wants our trust. When someone hears the gospel, something strange takes place. Conviction. It's undeniable. An unusual feeling and a conviction that the story is true. Of course, unfortunately most people just shrug it off. A most dangerous event. If you are a Christian, don't be discouraged. Give someone a tract. God may have prepared their heart for just that moment.
