Youth groups from two different Bible believing churches went to the streets of St. Augustine, Fl on Saturday to hand out tracts to a vacationing crowd. There were anti-Trump supporters who were not very open to receiving tracts, but many took them anyway. Several types of tracts were distributed including about two hundred Kristin tracts. It was estimated that over a thousand tracts were distributed in about two hours. We are grateful for the blessing of being a part of such an effort. The youth (AGES10-20) were very polite yet not intimated. The Lord was lifted up. we are praying for the effectiveness of the tracts and that God's word would not come back void.

Friends of Kristin:
I was walking Chambers Bay Golf Course last Sunday and found the brochure Gone “ in the twinkling of an eye” with a picture of Kriston & the yellow flower. I read it all, twice. I really appreciate the person that left the Kristin brochure on the park bench which overlooks Puget Sound. It touched me. Kristin was a beautiful person and her life has not stopped. She is alive and with the Lord and Savior. We will see her again. I would like to know if I can get 100 of the brochures and if so what is the cost. Thank you. Carol was able to witness to a lady who sat next to her on a plane who is having trouble with her drug addicted son. Great blessing. Also, I was able to hand out a few tracts, one to a couple of young sisters. They were probably preteen, traveling alone. They slowly and deliberately read the tract and appeared to be praying the prayer together. They huddled with their heads together and were very quiet and one kept looking over the shoulder of the other at me. I was sitting a row behind across the aisle. My hope is that they were actually getting saved. I asked a lady on a shuttle if she liked to read. When she said yes, I handed her a tract which she put in her purse. Across the way a man who turned out to be her husband refused the tract calling it propaganda. Hope she will read the tract and even read it to him. We probably gave out about ten tracts on that two day trip. Not bad, but we can do better.
People don't believe we care just because we say it. We just heard a torrent of promises from Presidential candidates about how much they care. We also hear from family members who tell us how much they care. Do they actually just say it or do they show it. The real "caring" Christians who have any concern about the souls of the lost will show it by attempting to lead others to Christ. I've heard the reasons why people don't try. How hard is it to hand someone a tract? I have seen children hand people tracts. What are these Christians afraid of? Are they totally uncaring? I don't believe that. I believe they are intimidated, shy, unsteady in their faith, fearful, lazy, distracted, apathetic, selfish, over worked, tired, etc. It goes on. In the meantime someone goes to Hell.
Take a look at these tracts. Get a few and give it a try. I promise that you will love the outcome. Just the act of giving someone a gospel tract, no matter the outcome, will give you a sense of belonging and participation in the greatest cause offered to mankind itself, by God Himself. Get involved in the solution to all of our problems. The saving grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ. |
